After a week of holidays in the Belgium Ardennen (read Lilia's dream or watch here), I feel energetic, ready to do a lot of things (the project leader will be happy to read this). If every blogger notes his mood, we can get an overview of the moods of webloggers over the year. Well, this is not a new thought, the University of Amsterdam already does this with Moodviews. Moodviews tracks moods of bloggers, and consists of three components:
- MoodGrapher: tracks the mood levels (so I can see how many other bloggers feel energetic)
- MoodTeller: predicts moods
- MoodSignal: helps in understanding the underlying reasons for mood changes.
Hot moods at the moment are rushed and good, impopular moods are bored and hot. In MoodSignals you can see a peak in "loved" the day before Valentine day (13 Feb). I think there is a relation between mood and events, so it's nice to show this with a tool like Moodviews. It's a pity that only users of LiveJournal can attach their mood to their posting.
While typing this, my mood changed to hungry. I think there is a relation with the current time (12.30)!
